I was hired to be the Interior Designer on this entire project. This was the second full bank, from the ground up, that I have done for this client. We selected all the cabinet styles and colors; all flooring choices, designed all the tile designs for the lobby, elevator and bathrooms; all the lighting fixtures, iron gate designs, all the furnishings and the accessories.
It was very important to the client that this second bank be slightly different than the previous bank, but essentially “look the same”. Also our design style was based on the clients desire to have an old fashioned bank, yet have it fit their modern needs. They wanted it to feel comfortable and cozy and reflect the heritage of this local region. We have been told over and over that we succeeded in these areas.
We had used a very talented muralist on all their other projects, and therefore again chose to have her paint images from this specific region that reflects the early settlers of this area. It has been extremely successful in bringing in new clientele to the bank, because so many local residents see themselves or their relatives in the murals and feel a sense of “family” with this bank.
